Two silver birdcages, and the garden took over anyway. At each shoulder hangs a domed birdcage with a tiny hummingbird inside; between and below them the necklace blooms – a floral plaque with a great pink peony, a second miniature cage, tassels of lily-of-the-valley bells, and swags of pearl chain looping like vines. Spring, engineered.
