A unicorn, caught mid-leap between two porcelain hearts.

The pendant of this enamel necklace suspends a white unicorn between two large hearts painted with blue porcelain scrollwork, turquoise beads tucked around the goldwork. Higher in the chain, round enamel medallions carry tiny painted birds, and ornate golden links shaped like heraldic beasts guard the shoulders. A white bow and a single blue drop finish the fall.

A fairy tale, but executed with a Victorian jeweler’s discipline.
