Three painted birds, framed like icons.

A black enamel collar carries this necklace: pearl stations and golden roses along its curve, and three great pointed cameo plaques suspended from it – left, center, right – each holding a delicately painted bird in a border of seed pearls and beadwork. Baroque pearl drops hang at every joint, and fine strands of seed pearls swag beneath each plaque like theater ropes.
