The portrait medallion at the center of this necklace shows Marie Antoinette as a girl, and everything around her is alive: monarch butterflies above and below, two red ladybugs, pink blossoms and rings of glittering opalite. The chain is just as theatrical – ornate medallions with dark green cabochons, one crowned with a miniature birdcage, the other with a horse’s head.
